Auckland is a welcoming city and home to many diverse international communities, with about 40% of the population born overseas (World Migration report 2015). It is a laid-back city, close to the sea, with lots of places to go and activities to enjoy. Throughout the year, you can enjoy cultural festivals, hiking and other outdoor activities in Auckland and further afield. Students are a welcomed part of the community here, so it won’t take long before it feels like home.
